I always love stopping in for a quick bite at the saloon! Great to see you still doing your thing right here in Wakeeney Kansas! Keep up the good work, it’s great to have the perfect burger at lunch while visiting!

Walked in and the place was dirty, there was on three tables of customers. All but two tables were dirty. Should have walked back out, but we thought it would be good.Got a prime rib well done, we'll done does not mean burnt and slightly pink inside. Salad was standing in water on my plate.The kids chicken twist is the same as burger kings chicken fingers.And if you have a party of more than 6, they automatically charge the gratuity. Which was unfortunate, because we had calculated a higher tip.It is a good place to eat if you need a good colon cleansing, don't eat here and travel the next day. You won't get far.

Salisbury steak dinner and a beer for lunch. Well worth pulling off the interstate to have.

So glad we stopped for dinner, everything was delicious. We are heading back east on 70 east and found the restaurant on a Google search. It's tucked away in a nice quiet town. The waitress was great, our food and drinks came out fast and the food was delicious. Between the 6 of us we ordered a lot - the wings were excellent, loved the fried Green beans, mozzarella sticks were good, our steaks, burgers, and chicken were all excellent too. Definitely a good spot for a solid dinner off the highway.

A fun place, great food and wonderful service. Beautiful,old school interior and atmosphere. Highly recommend it to anyone in the Wakeeny are. If you're passing by on I-70 swing on in, it's right down town. Worth the visit.

We thought it would be fun to drop by this restaurant during a short stay in WaKeeney and we were right. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. My partner said the steak he got was the best steak he's had, so if you're looking for good prime rib, he swears by it. I had a delicious pasta dish. Our server was a sweetheart, too. It was a nice find!

A very cool western themed bar and grill. The food was excellent and so was the service. They have locally brewed beer on tap. The lunch special was great and low priced as well!

The Western Kansas Saloon & Grill has a very charming western atmosphere that makes it look almost historic. With juicy burgers and scrumptious grilled cheeses for the kids, as well as delicious chicken noodle soup, this restaurant will most certainly delight any person's stomach. Enjoy!

After reading the reviews we thought the food would be much better than it was, it was just average. Having said that, the place is very clean, the waitress was nice and efficient and the good came out fast. We love visiting privately owned restaurants while traveling verses the commercial ones.

Great ribeye and lots of fun playing pool. Service was excellent with a big crowd on the eve of the total eclipse just outside the path.

Old, need a new menu with a better variety. All restaurants in this area serve one item hamberger or steak, very boring. Very outdated and dirty.

Very good food. Very friendly server. Don’t pass this place for fast(Er) food. You won’t regret your stop here even with a large group.

5 stars because of food. Staff was nice, but slow, 20 mins for a drink. An hour to get food, wasn't very busy.

Definitely worth getting off of the highway! Our waitress Germaine was awesome.

I'm being generous with 2 stars because the rib eye steak was tasty. Everything else fell flat. Service was abysmal, well to be fair there were two other couples in the diner and only 2 waitresses for 3 tables they seemed overwhelmed. The can corn well was can corn, the garlic mashed potatoes were awful. Then back to or RV is when everything came to fruition.... sick all night and into the morning, a bottle of pepto bismol was my only savior. Go to McDonald's Pizza Hut or some slim Jim's from the convenience store. You will be happier.

Great place to eat in small town Kansas

I've been to this place a number of times when in the area. Always consistently excellent steaks and homemade soups. Steaks are consistently cooked perfectly to order. Service is very good also. Sports TV's in historic bar area. Be sure and read history of building on back of menu. Quaint place. Uf you are from a city, you'll love the prices.

Small diner feel in a sizable location. Had the Chicken Fried Chicken dinner special and it was great! If you are in the area, this is a great place to stop for a meal.

Arrived on a Thursday evening, Quiet but got busier as time went along. Rustic atmosphere and good basic food. Service was prompt but not intrusive. Would go again if am in the area.

Authentic hometown place

Staff is super friendly and the food is good for the price. Hands down one of the best country fried steaks I’ve ever had.
